Heriz Mist exudes subtle intensity through the use of indigo ground hues which fade away softly into weathered ivory and muted garnet. In terms of structure, this rug is very architectural and at the same time it has the feel of a well-lived space with its medallion and border creating an inward flow through a rhythmic pattern.
Drawing on the timeless patterns of Heriz weaving, this carpet uses the element of design to create a balanced structure with movement of motifs emerging from the field slowly. This particular hand-knotted Heriz Mist was woven for eight months in Afghanistan using hand spun wool dyed naturally.
The size and darker hues of the rug make it very grounding and ideal for use in more tranquil spaces such as living rooms and studies.
