Khorjin Parchment

Khorjin Parchment has a sense of subtle warmth emanating from its color combination, which consists of ivory, sand, faded indigo, and rusty colors, giving a sense of natural aging rather than sharpness. Vertical stripes in fine lines are created in a gentle rhythmic pattern on the rug, while rows of geometrical motifs on the sides give a sense of balance. The combination of open areas and detailed patterns give a collection-like and timeless effect to the carpet, while variations in tone contribute to its dynamism.

Based on the Khorjin weaving technique, the design incorporates the geometry of nomadic weaves, but in its own unique style using a less dramatic palette. The rug is knotted by hand in Aqcha, Afghanistan, and crafted using hand-spun wool and natural dyes, making its quality more pronounced through use and exposure to light.

The generous size and understated palette make the carpet ideal for interior settings with pale oak, linen furnishings, and plaster walls.
