Sultani Teal is distinguished by the deep turquoise color of its field that is vibrant but at the same time faded due to time. On its body, there appear intricate decorative floral motifs in walnut, bronze, ivory and aubergine colors. This carpet looks refined and delicate because of its sophisticated ornaments, elegant symmetry and slightly worn effect. Its pattern reveals a subtle abrash and tonal transition that contribute to the overall quietness of the piece.
The design was inspired by traditional Sultani weavings and based on classical ornaments typical for court carpets with a fresh palette of the piece. Made by master artisans in Aqcha, Afghanistan, this unique carpet is hand-knotted of woolen fibers dyed using natural colorants and takes about 8.5 months to complete.
The rich color range adds charm and elegance to interiors featuring elements with natural textures, pale wood floors and subtle lighting.
