The rhythm of Khorjin Stone is calm and controlled. Soft ivory and stone colors are complemented by the faded indigo, soft terracotta, green shades of sage and touches of rust. The elongated form is created through finely crafted stripes and geometric tribal patterns that give the runner dynamic feel. The color combination looks somewhat worn, as if it has been formed by the elements.
The motif of this carpet reflects the Khorjin weaves which were originally made from saddlebags. It is inspired by patterns of fabrics that have been traditionally produced in Central Asia and Afghanistan. This hand-knotted rug was made in Kabul, Afghanistan, using hand-spun wool and natural dyes.
Due to its elongated form, the runner is particularly suitable for narrow rooms such as hallways or gallery spaces as well as along a kitchen island.
