Meadow Night

The Meadow Night is created using an indigo field dotted with floral branches and animal silhouettes that float gracefully over the background as if they were part of a night scene. Coral, gold, sky blue, and ivory colors emerge from the background in soft tones creating a delicate yet engaging pattern. The subtle change in tone within the field provides the piece with depth as if the images appear out of the shadows.

Taking inspiration from the narrative style present in tribal and village weavings, the design creates a feeling of symbolic gardens, animals, and landscapes without being excessive. Hand-woven in Aqcha, Afghanistan for nine months using hand-spun wool and natural dyes, the rug becomes one of a kind due to its textures and soft color palette.

With such an engaging design, the rug is ideal for interior spaces where multiple textiles and wooden furniture create an intimate atmosphere.
