Bijar Sand stands out through its subdued elegance — an ivory plane surrounded by vivid cedar, indigo, and soft garnet outlines, giving the piece balance and stability. The intricate botanical and geometric patterns are delicately sketched across the fabric with impeccable detail and a sense of motion and harmony.
The pattern of the carpet was influenced by the rich vocabulary of geometry and elaborate patterns of the Bijar rugs’ weaving techniques and tradition. Using only natural colors and materials, the carpet is hand-knotted using hand-spun wool in Aqcha, Afghanistan, over the course of nine months.
Elongated in shape and featuring a palette that evokes the idea of timeless material and fabric, this elegant carpet would be perfect in a refined interior setting. It would complement the wood, plaster, and linen of the walls and ceiling and be ideally suited for a living room, dining area, or entrance hall.
